REVOLUTION OF THE FULL SUSPENSION
MERIDA BIKES FULL SUSPENSION
Since 2015 we started a revolution in our range of double suspension with the introduction of a new platform, the Float Link. The first bicycle to explore this new path was the ONE-TWENTY, followed by the ONE-SIXTY and more recently the ONE-FORTY, closing the circle again with the ONE-TWENTY and the new generation presented in the 2019 range.
All are based around the floating suspension and the new Metric shock absorbers with Trunnion anchor.
But a bicycle by itself does not go. She needs someone to set her in motion and nobody better than Toni Ferreiro to test our doubles. Toni has been champion of Spain of Descent and Enduro and the maximum Spanish representative in the Enduro Word Series.
Thanks to him in Merida we can say that we have been Elite Spain Champions, triumph achieved by Toni in 2017.
Our bike for everything. In 2019 the ONE-TWENTY has been completely redesigned, improving rigidity, performance and weight. In addition, we have outlined a lot of small details to make the new geometry adapt to what is expected from a modern trail bike. In short, a bike perfectly capable on the most technical trails while efficient and fast in flatter areas.
MODERN GEOMETRY
The geometry of the ONE-TWENTY inherits part of its predecessor, but key points have been modified as the angle of the direction, more thrown, the height of the frame, lower to allow more movement on the bike and the length of the pods, now 10mm shorter to make the bike faster and more agile.
NON-SLIP TIGHTENING TECHNOLOGY
Sometimes the simplest details make the difference. With this technology we look for the assembly
and adjusting the bicycle easier
and fast. The secret is to lock one of the screws to prevent it from turning only when we loose or tighten the opposite screw. In this way you just have to manipulate one of the sides.
THREE CHOICE OPTIONS
The new ONE-TWENTY is available in three different frames. The ultralight and super rigid full carbon version, another mixed version with the carbon frame and the aluminum tilting triple 6066 swingarm and the most economical version of aluminum.
TELESCOPIC TILE
It is the essential component in any modern trail bike. The possibility of lowering the weight when the terrain is tilted is the difference between fun or
METRIC SHOCK ABSORBER / TRUNNION ANCHOR
The new metric shock absorbers allow our engineers to be more flexible with their designs. We mount shorter shock absorbers, but with longer runs. In addition, the use
of bearings in the upper anchor improves the sensitivity and overall performance of the suspension.
FLOAT LINK SUSPENSION
The shock absorber is not fixed to the frame, instead it moves with the whole system, which allows the engineers to modify the progression curve with more freedom. This results in higher initial sensitivity, greater support
in the middle of the route and the feeling of having more than 120mm that the system suggests by its name.
